Poor oral health is linked to pain, difficulty eating, weight loss, aspiration pneumonia and a lower quality of life. Yet many facilities have no consistent way to assess it, track it or show what they’ve done about it.

We screen every resident. Our team visits your facility and completes an initial oral screening for every resident. It’s quick and scheduled around your routines.
A clear follow-up and referral plan for your residents. Each resident’s risk score determines their next step
We assess and record. Findings are recorded in our platform, including plaque index, ROAG scores and any other oral pathologies. These are combined into an oral health risk profile for each resident.
See the complete picture of your facility. Results are aggregated and documented at facility level, so you can see the overall state of oral health and how it has changed over time. You can use this documentation as evidence of compliance with the oral health components of the Strengthened Quality Care Standards.
The Strengthened Quality Standards and oral health
The Strengthened Quality Standards took effect on 1st November 2025 with the new Aged Care Act. Clinical care now has its own dedicated Standard 5, in which oral health sits

Systemic health and oral hygiene go hand-in-hand. Yet every year, thousands of older Australians suffer from preventable pain, infection and loss of dignity due to substandard oral hygiene in care settings. The Australian Government have recognised this and have therefore made oral hygiene a key focus in their newly released Strengthened Quality Care Standards. However, these new Standards come at a time when care homes and hospitals are already operating at capacity with insufficient resources to meet them.
